Suboxone®
Suboxone® helps reverse the side effects of short-acting opioids, including heroin and prescription painkillers. Consisting of two ingredients, buprenorphine and naloxone, Suboxone® prevents the painful withdrawal symptoms caused by an opioid addiction.
Sublocade and Brixadi
Sublocade and Brixadi are monthly injections administered by your provider in the clinic that continuously release steady amounts of buprenorphine. Monthly injections eliminate the dental risk that sublingual buprenorphine can be associated with.
VIVITROL
VIVITROL is a prescription injectable medicine used to:
Treat alcohol dependence. You should stop drinking before starting VIVITROL.
Prevent relapse to opioid dependence, after opioid detoxification. You must stop taking opioids before you start receiving VIVITROL.
Are you suffering from an addiction to opiates – like fentanyl, heroin or pain pills? Are you ready to give addiction treatment a try? We are here to help! We offer walk-in hours for treatment or you can make an appointment. You will see a provider in-person who has specialized education and training in the treatment of addiction, especially to opiates. At Fireweed Health Care, treatment options include Suboxone®, Sublocade, Brixadi and VIVITROL.
Sublocade and Brixadi are once-monthly injections of extended release buprenorphine, the medicine found in Suboxone. VIVITROL is an opioid-antagonist medication used to reduce cravings to use opiates. VIVITROL can also potentially reduce cravings to use alcohol, nicotine and even methamphetamine but cannot be combined with the use of any opiates.
All patients are encouraged to seek counseling, psychotherapy and/or recovery group participation as needed to support recovery.
