We work hard every day to ensure your experience with us is friendly, relaxing and inviting. We want your visit with us to be as pleasant as possible, so if there is something that we can help you with, please just ask.
We are a true, independent, Alaska-owned healthcare clinic and take great pride in offering guideline-based, ethical and effective care. We offer management of chronic pain and also treat opioid use disorder in our Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.
We encourage all of our patients to participate in their own care by learning all they can about their individual condition and by incorporating as many strategies as they can into their treatment plan. For patients suffering from chronic pain this may include embracing nicotine cessation, adopting a regular walking or other exercise program, and improving sleep patterns.
For patients desiring treatment of addiction, we encourage, but do not require, participation in self-help groups, mental health services and employment where possible, in addition to utilizing pharmacologic treatments including Suboxone, Sublocade injections and Vivitrol.
Patients are seen in-person for all visits. We are taking common-sense precautions to reduce the risk of the spread of illness such as frequent hand-washing, sanitizing frequently touched surfaces throughout the day, providing facemasks for anyone experiencing cough or other respiratory symptoms which are not COVID, ensuring comfortable seating which allows for distancing from others and requesting sick patients stay at home and reschedule their visits.
We care about your health and safety while you are in our clinic and welcome you to Fireweed Health Care.
